About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join its team in Fairmont, West Virginia. The Courier picks up, transports, and delivers medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. The role includes use of a company vehicle for the route; for $125 per month, the employee may opt to take the vehicle home and use it for personal purposes.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Weekends and overtime may occasionally be required. No education or experience is required. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years old. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• No education or experience is required.
• Very punctual, with strong time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• One year or more of driver or courier experience.
• Six months or more of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work directly with the dispatcher to coordinate additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients.
