About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Courier to join its team in Fairmont, West Virginia. The courier is responsible for picking up, transporting, and delivering medical specimens, laboratory supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to clients. A company vehicle is provided for the route. For $125 per month, the employee may choose to take the vehicle home and use it for personal use. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; occasional weekends and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• No education or experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Be punctual and demonstrate strong time-management skills.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Be able to problem-solve customer issues.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of driver or courier experience.
• At least six months of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies for the daily pickups.
• Complete the daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to the branch at the end of the shift.
• Handle specimens and laboratory samples safely and efficiently.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws.
• Use a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
• Provide excellent service to clients.
