About The Position

As a Medical Courier Driver at Aculabs, you will safely and promptly transport laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, stool, and other samples, from assigned care facilities, field offices, or employees. Proper handling and adherence to transport protocols are essential to maintaining specimen integrity. The role supports Aculabs’ diagnostic services to long-term care homes across the Mid-Atlantic. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with weekend rotation as needed.

Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Must be an insured driver.
Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Pick up blood and other specimens at designated facilities and deliver them to the appropriate location.
Arrive at facilities at designated times.
Transport laboratory specimens safely and efficiently, keeping them secure and undamaged during transit.
Transfer specimen bags from the refrigerator at the ECF to a cooler and deliver them to the laboratory as quickly as possible.
Follow driving laws, traffic regulations, and safety protocols while operating company vehicles.
Inform accessioning personnel when blood has been delivered.
