About The Position

Corewell Health is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for this opportunity! This is a clinical/clerical role, combining registration with medical assistant duties in a small clinic with lower acuity (no procedures or Xray). The urgent care environment is fast-paced, seeing a variety of patients for any reason, making it a continuously changing and remarkably diverse group. This position is a Float role, covering all Urgent Care locations: East Beltline, Alpine, Cutlerville, Zeeland, Wyoming, Rockford, Ada, and Grand Haven. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering diverse care options and opportunities for learning and specialization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical/clerical duties including registration.

• Float to all Urgent Care locations as needed.
