About The Position

The Clinical Care Coordinator I (Medical Assistant) demonstrates the competency to provide patient care according to the age-specific population needs and assist in the management of patient care in the physician office setting under the direct supervision of a provider. The position is located at FPG Centralized Access Center, 6230 University Parkway, Suite 102, Sarasota, FL 34240.

Requirements

• Meet one of these qualifications: hold current, active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from an accredited certifying agency; hold an active Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license and have at least one year of medical assistant or clinical healthcare experience; or have at least one year of medical assistant work experience.
• A CMA or RMA certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire/start date.
• High school diploma, GED, or certificate.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required, or must be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer date.

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician’s office practice.
• Experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record programs.
• Ability to demonstrate self-direction and initiative.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electronic practice management and electronic health records software, along with skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Accepted medical assistant certifications include CMA (AAMA), NHA, NCCT, RMA (AMT or AAH), and NRCMA (NAHP).
