About The Position

The Clinical Care Coordinator I (Medical Assistant) provides patient care according to age-specific population needs and assists in managing patient care in a physician office setting under the direct supervision of a provider. The position is located at the FPG Centralized Access Center, 6230 University Parkway, Suite 102, Sarasota, FL 34240.

Requirements

• Meet one of the following qualifications: hold a current, active Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) certification from an accredited certifying agency; hold an active Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license and have at least one year of medical assistant or clinical healthcare experience; or have at least one year of medical assistant work experience and obtain CMA or RMA certification within twelve months of hire/start date.
• Have a high school diploma, GED, or certificate.
• Have Basic Life Support/CPR certification, or obtain it within thirty days of hire/transfer date.

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician’s office practice.
• Experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record programs.
• Ability to demonstrate self-direction and initiative.
• Knowledge of electronic practice management and electronic health records software, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Medical assistant certifications accepted include CMA (AAMA), NHA, NCCT, RMA (AMT or AAH), and NRCMA (NAHP).
