About The Position
The Med Tech supports residents in a senior living community by assisting with personal care and medication administration. The role includes helping residents with cleaning, bathing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene; communicating with healthcare staff, department personnel, residents, families, and support personnel; and maintaining required written records. The Med Tech administers medications according to company protocol and state regulations and maintains MARs/TARs documenting medicines ordered, received, and administered. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be compassionate, patient, and kind, with a heart for working with senior adults.
- Must have good organizational abilities and communication skills.
- Must be independent, energetic, and creative, and have a pleasant approach.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with cleaning, bathing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene.
- Communicate with healthcare staff and department personnel, relay information concerning residents’ conditions, and maintain required written records and documentation.
- Maintain communication with residents, their families, and support personnel to help ensure residents’ needs are continually met.
- Assist residents with medication administration according to company protocol and state regulations.
- Maintain MARs/TARs for each resident regarding medicines ordered, received, and administered.
