About The Position

MPE is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembly Team Member to perform final assembly and subassembly of medical carts, enclosures, and other builds, ensuring products meet quality and production standards. Depending on the product, the team member may work on an assembly line with others or build independently. The role is on the first shift, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and pays $20–$22 per hour.

MPE designs, engineers, and manufactures solutions for the medical and technology industries, with a mission to create impactful solutions that improve lives. The position involves working in an assembly area that may not be climate controlled and may vary in temperature with outdoor conditions; noise levels are moderate.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to continuously stand, bend, read, and use hand tools, with continuous use of vision and hearing.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and perform basic math.
• Ability to frequently use comprehension, reasoning, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience performing quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical final assembly and subassembly of medical carts, enclosures, and other builds using hand and power tools.
• Work on an assembly line as part of a team or build independently, depending on the product.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, including standard and metric dimensions.
• Identify and flag quality issues from previous stations.
• Follow safety requirements, including consistent use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized 5S workspace through consistent housekeeping.
