About The Position

MPE is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Team Member to perform final assembly and subassembly of medical carts, enclosures, and other builds to meet quality and production standards. Depending on the product, the work may be done on an assembly line as part of a team or independently. The role is on the first shift, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and pays $20–$22 per hour. Parts of the assembly area are not climate controlled and may become warmer or cooler with outdoor temperatures; the noise level is moderate.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Continuously stand, bend, read, and use hand tools; continuous use of vision and hearing.
• Frequently use comprehension, reasoning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and perform basic math.

Nice To Haves

• Previous assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience performing quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical final assembly and subassembly of medical carts, enclosures, and other builds using hand and power tools.
• Work on an assembly line with a team or independently, depending on the product.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, including standard and metric dimensions.
• Identify and flag quality issues from previous stations.
• Follow safety requirements, including consistent use of proper PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized 5S workspace through consistent housekeeping.
