About The Position

Assembly Team Members build parts used in Protomet products, including boat towers and board racks. The work is guided by detailed assembly instructions, and is suited to mechanically inclined people who want to work with their hands. Protomet aims to develop employees’ technical skills, safe work practices, and knowledge of the business. Experience is welcome, but the company also develops employees on the job.

The role emphasizes efficiency, safety, a positive attitude, teamwork, continuous quality improvement, and helping ensure orders ship on time and in full. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., in Loudon, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Build parts by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, tools, and materials.
• Maintain awareness of inventory levels for assembly supplies.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Promote a positive, can-do, client-focused environment that supports continuous quality improvement and teamwork.
• Help ensure orders ship on time and at full quantity.
