About The Position

The Meat Packer packs meat in boxes, seals, labels, and stacks finished product on pallets according to work order specifications and customer preferences. The role also involves assembling boxes, cleaning the packaging area and equipment, meeting GMP and quality standards, and maintaining efficient product flow through production.

The position is located at 407 Westcliff Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. Work starts at 7:00 AM and continues until the job is complete. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to regularly lift, stack, and/or pull products weighing 10–35 pounds and, depending on location, lift approximately 60–100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule, perform equipment safety checks, obtain required supplies, and prepare for operations.
• Check the cutting list and retrieve packaging materials, including boxes, labels, tape, bags, and wrap, using a pallet jack.
• Assemble boxes and cases, make labels, and load the Cryovac sealer with the appropriate wrap.
• Load finished meat cuts from tubs into the Cryovac sealer, operate its doors as required, and place sealed meat on a work table.
• Pack meat into cases, label and seal cases using a tape gun or strapping machine, and stack finished cases on pallets.
• Clean the packaging work area and equipment, perform general housekeeping, and follow safety and quality regulations and standards.
• Secure equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
