About The Position

The Meat Packer packs meat into boxes, seals and labels finished products, and stacks them on pallets according to work orders and customer preferences. The role also involves assembling boxes, cleaning the packaging area and equipment, meeting GMP and quality standards, and maintaining efficient product flow through the production process. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. Work begins at 7:00 AM and continues until the job is complete. The position is located at 407 Westcliff Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409, and pays $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to lift, stack, and/or pull product weighing 10–35 lbs. regularly and up to approximately 60–100 lbs., depending on location.

Responsibilities

Review the work schedule, check equipment for safety, obtain required supplies, and prepare for operations.
Check the cutting list and retrieve appropriate packaging materials from storage using a pallet jack.
Assemble boxes, make labels, and load the Cryovac sealer with the appropriate wrap as required.
Load finished cuts of meat from tubs into the Cryovac sealer, raise and lower the doors as required, and place sealed meat on the work table.
Pack meat into cases, label and seal cases using a tape gun or strapping machine, and stack finished cases on pallets.
Perform housekeeping duties and clean the packaging area and equipment while following safety and quality regulations and standards.
Secure equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
