About The Position

The Meat Cutter is a senior production cutter with demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of meat production required by department standards. Working in the Cutting Room, this person prepares meat items for sale. The position also covers the department on the salesfloor in the evenings or during weekend rotations as needed.

Requirements

• Be a trained and experienced cutter familiar with all phases of meat production.
• Be available to be scheduled 35 or more hours per week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
• Demonstrate productivity and customer relations skills.
• Be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Be reliable and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Follow the cutting list to maximize yield and productivity.
• Answer customer requests and provide custom cuts when requested.
• Grind, chip, chop, and wrap meat.
• Perform housekeeping, sanitation, and machine maintenance.
• Work on the salesfloor, stock, rotate, price, and merchandise products, and assist customers as assigned.
• Cover the department in the evening or during a weekend rotation.
