Math Instructor (Up to Algebra 1)- Part-Time, After-School
About The Position
Mathnasium is hiring a part-time, after-school Math Instructor to coach K–12 students in math using the company’s method. Instructors guide students as they catch up, keep up, and get ahead, with subject mastery up to Algebra 1. The company provides training on instructional delivery. The role offers $13–$17 per hour based on skills and experience, paid training, and consistent shifts. During the school year, available hours are Monday–Thursday from 3:00–8:00 p.m. with staggered start times up to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday–Sunday from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.; instructors work 10–26 hours per week. During summer, available hours are Monday–Friday from 2:00–7:00 p.m. with staggered start times up to 3:30 p.m.; instructors work 10–20 hours per week. Applicants choose consistent shifts and must be available at least two days per week for the next six months. Qualified applicants are invited to a 60-minute in-center employment test and interview.
Requirements
- Completed Algebra 2 or higher.
- Strong communication skills and reliability.
- Able to work at least two days a week for the next six months.
Responsibilities
- Guide students through problem-solving using the company’s curriculum.
- Support students with their school materials.
- Give clear, encouraging feedback to students and parents.
- Track student progress and follow center procedures.
