About the position
FEV Tutor is seeking a Math Curriculum Developer for a remote contract position. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating student-facing and tutor-facing math lessons for grades K-5, 6-8, or 9-12. They should have deep knowledge of math content and instructional best practices, as well as the ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment. The Math Curriculum Developer will develop lessons based on the company's scope and sequence, using a combination of standards-aligned items and original questions. They should also have proficiency in graphic design software and tools, and experience with MS Office and Google Drive.
Responsibilities
- Develop math lessons based on the scope and sequence using the math lesson template
- Create lessons using a combination of standards-aligned items from the item bank and original standards-aligned questions
- Create visuals, models, or diagrams, and other visual elements to enhance student engagement and understanding
- Follow project plan timelines for submitting and revising lessons via Wrike
- Author lessons using the custom authoring tool
- Familiarize with CCSS and other state-specific math standards and instructional methods
- Utilize graphic design software and tools proficiently
- Understand math concepts and represent them visually
- Have experience with MS Office and Google Drive
- Work remotely
Requirements
- Math specialists with deep knowledge of K-5, 6-8, or 9-12 math content and instructional best practices
- Self-motivated workers who have the ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in education or a directly related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience with K-12 math curriculum development
- Familiar with CCSS and other state-specific math standards and instructional methods
- Proficiency in graphic design software and tools
- Understanding of math concepts and ability to represent them visually
- Experience with MS Office, Google Drive
- Experience working remotely
