About The Position

Schneider Electric is seeking a Materials Technician to support its manufacturing team in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Working on first shift, the technician sorts, picks, stores, and counts parts in preparation for assembly; maintains safety and quality standards; and uses an inventory scanning system to track parts moving into and out of storage locations. The role also includes cycle counts and inventory audits.

The position is performed in a manufacturing environment. Safety shoes and safety glasses are required on the production floor, along with other prescribed personal protective equipment. The work involves prolonged standing and physical activities such as reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and climbing a ladder. The technician may need to lift 26 pounds occasionally or 22 pounds independently and repetitively.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check to the satisfaction of the Company.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Wear safety shoes and safety glasses on the production floor and use required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods during the shift.
• Ability to reach overhead, pull, push, bend, squat, and climb a ladder to perform work.
• Ability to lift 26 pounds occasionally or 22 pounds independently and repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Sort, pick, store, and count parts in preparation for assembly.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
• Use an inventory scanning system to scan parts into and out of locations.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Use manual, electric, and pneumatic tools; fork trucks, including stand-up models; jib cranes; templates and fixtures; hand carts; measuring devices; and prescribed safety equipment.
