About The Position

Materials Handlers provide general labor support to production and pack-on-demand lines and other areas. Duties include assembling trays, lids, and feed tapers; palletizing; and configuring gift orders for expedited customer-order processing. The role requires following storage, quality assurance, vendor compliance, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) guidelines, along with maintaining reliable attendance.

Requirements

• Some high school education.
• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels, including peers, leadership, and employees.
• Basic English reading skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving walking, bending, twisting, and use of the hands, wrists, and arms.
• Ability to perform limited lifting.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets according to storage specifications and ensure pallet patterns meet all requirements.
• Meet quality assurance and vendor compliance specifications.
• Physically stack and unstack pallets.
• Support the shipping line by maintaining a constant flow of product or removing product as needed.
• Read SKU numbers and sort product by box size or SKU to prepare it for loading.
• Perform general housekeeping, including breaking down boxes, removing trash, and sweeping.
• Perform light assembly.
• Perform other duties and work in other departments as assigned.
• Adhere to all SQF (Safe Quality Foods) guidelines.
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.
