  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to track materials, maintain accurate records, and coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordination with procurement, warehouse, construction, and project personnel.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn and use computerized materials management and inventory systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep understanding of cGMP regulations and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience in GMP manufacturing, LEAN, automation, construction, construction quality, CQV, project controls, engineering disciplines, safety, and scheduling.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including Owners, Architects, Engineers, QA/Validation, and Contractors, in regulated contexts.
  • Certifications or hands-on experience in CQV; CSV awareness; familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex, multi-site projects in validated environments such as GMP/GLP/ISO 17025 within laboratories, biopharma, pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical devices, healthcare, or related sectors.
  • Specific experience delivering validated environments, including GMP/GLP laboratories, ISO 14644 cleanrooms, ISO 17025 laboratories, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Material Management Plan and coordinate material specification, identification, and quantification with Engineering and Construction during front-end project execution.
  • Follow established guidelines to optimize materials planning work processes for key material commodities.
  • Promote consistent material identification methods and clearly defined responsibilities across project functions and commodity work processes.
  • Identify special or lengthy approval requirements that could affect timely issuance of key Engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to identify critical design drawings and supplier data that may affect other design deliverables or be needed by Construction ahead of material delivery.
  • Assist Engineering with implementation of project component-numbering approaches for tagged materials, bulk materials, and spares, consistent with materials management practices and the project Automation Plan.
  • Verify that material requisitions identify required pay items and provide sufficient detail for materials to be shipped, identified, stored, controlled, and distributed to Construction for installation.
  • Help identify out-of-sequence Engineering deliverables or lengthy approval requirements that could affect the materials work process.
  • Maintain working relationships with Project Controls, Discipline Engineers, Supply Chain, Automation Support, and/or the Construction Coordinator to ensure materials support construction work.
