About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Material Coordinator for a customer site in Hanahan, South Carolina. The role supports warehouse operations by receiving, documenting, tracking, moving, and shipping materials. Receiving may involve unloading deliveries by hand or using a pallet jack or motorized forklift. The coordinator also maintains the TVI Program Master Material List in SharePoint and supports outgoing shipments by obtaining quotes and prices.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Two years of warehouse experience, including inventory, staging, packing, storage, and shipping of electronic equipment and related material.
• Experience operating motor vehicles and material-handling equipment.
• Experience using a computer-based inventory and bar-coding system to enter, identify, and track material.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Receive material into the warehouse, complete receiving documentation in a database, and notify projects when their items arrive.
• Unload deliveries by hand or with a pallet jack or motorized forklift, as needed.
• Coordinate and expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments according to production and shipping schedules or supervisors’ priorities.
• Compile reports on the quantity and type of material on hand.
• Move or transport material between departments using a hand truck or industrial truck.
• Maintain the TVI Program Master Material List in SharePoint.
• Support outgoing shipments and obtain shipping quotes and prices.
