About The Position

The Marketing Representative - Retail is a guest-facing role based at Kings’ Shops and Queens’ Marketplace in Waikoloa. The representative greets travelers, shares local information and recommendations, and invites eligible guests to schedule an appointment to learn more about vacation ownership. The role focuses on creating a positive first impression and setting quality appointments, rather than closing sales on the spot.

Compensation is $17.00 per hour plus commission and bonuses under a compensation plan. Targeted annual earnings are $90,000, with top performers able to earn more based on individual results. The position includes structured onboarding, coaching, and clear daily expectations. Shifts are scheduled between 11:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. based on visitor patterns and business needs, including weekends and holidays. The work locations are Kings’ Shops and Queens’ Marketplace in Waikoloa.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English, including reading and writing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and confidence learning new systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in retail, kiosks or booths, promotions, customer service, hospitality, food and beverage, call centers, or business development.
• Experience with metrics, goals, and incentive-based pay.
• Strong knowledge of Hawai‘i Island.
• Previous timeshare or vacation ownership experience; training is available for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors respectfully and start brief conversations.
• Ask guests what they enjoy about their trip and share dining, shopping, and local recommendations around Waikoloa.
• Provide useful Hawai‘i Island information about beaches, scenic drives, cultural sites, family-friendly activities, and trip planning, using approved resources.
• When available, share eligible offers, promotions, or discounts using approved materials and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Invite eligible guests to learn more about vacation ownership.
• Schedule appointments for presentations and previews, and mini-vacation packages when applicable; explain where to go, when to arrive, and what to expect.
• Accurately enter guest and appointment information into basic systems such as a tablet, iPad, or PC.
• Keep the work area organized and work toward daily and weekly goals with coaching.
