Marketing Operations Senior Manager

Talkdesk•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations connects go-to-market strategy with day-to-day execution, ensuring marketing investments support pipeline and business growth. The role partners directly with the CMO and marketing leaders to provide strategic clarity on resource allocation and demonstrate marketing’s contribution to the business. It owns operational rhythms including fiscal planning, cross-functional program governance, performance insights, and execution of key strategic initiatives. The role also improves marketing workflows across functions and promotes practical adoption of AI tools to increase productivity and insight generation. The position is expected to translate executive priorities into structured roadmaps, milestones, and cross-functional accountability; analyze full-funnel performance and investment efficiency; and recommend how to scale, discontinue, or reallocate programs. It partners with marketing leadership on annual and quarterly budgets and operating plans, and establishes program budget tracking, executive dashboard views, and performance-review rhythms. It also redesigns fragmented workflows and handoffs, applying tools and AI capabilities to reduce turnaround times while maintaining quality. Success measures include contributing to fiscal planning during onboarding, delivering a strategic performance-insights briefing by 60 days to inform the finalized fiscal plan, and operationalizing the approved marketing plan with tracking and regular reviews by 90 days and beyond. The first major initiative is to rearchitect cross-functional workflows and unlock marketing efficiencies. Work is primarily in an office environment and involves extended periods of sitting or standing and computer-based work. Lifting is limited, and equipment use is limited to computer-related equipment. Talkdesk describes an inclusive culture and says it welcomes people without regard to legally protected status.
