Marketing Data Analyst

The Marketing Data Analyst role at Jungle Scout involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting marketing data to improve marketing campaigns and strategies. The analyst will create reports and presentations to communicate findings to the Marketing team and other stakeholders. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing dashboards and reports, as well as assisting in setting up and maintaining attribution and user journey models. The ideal candidate is a data-driven marketing partner with strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools, and effective communication abilities.

• Collect and analyze data from various sources, including website traffic, social media, affiliate, and email marketing campaigns
• Use data to identify trends and opportunities and develop recommendations for improving marketing campaigns
• Create clear, concise, and easy-to-understand reports and presentations
• Work with the Marketing team to implement recommendations
• Be the go-to source for all data and reporting needs for the Marketing Team
• Create and maintain marketing dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and campaign effectiveness
• Identify opportunities for automation and streamlining data processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts in reporting
• Work closely with the Marketing team to execute A/B tests and experiments, providing statistical analysis and insights to optimize performance
• Assist in setting up and maintaining attribution and user journey models to accurately measure the impact of various marketing channels and campaigns

• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and patterns in data
• Solid understanding of marketing concepts and digital marketing metrics
• Proficient in SQL and data querying languages
• Skilled in using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Effective communicator and able to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Detail-oriented with a high level of data accuracy
• Proactive in identifying opportunities for optimization
• Bonus points for experience with segment analysis, advanced statistical techniques, and data analysis using Python, R, or other programming/scripting languages.
