About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the NUSC 4P60 course, "Trends and Issues in Professional Nursing," for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. The role involves marking student assignments, projects, and exams, providing written feedback, and potentially invigilating exams and entering grades. Requirements

  • Current registration as Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Must have completed NUSC 4P60 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher
  • Graduate of or Major in Nursing, with a minimum major average of 75%
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
  • Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
  • Potentially invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course.
  • Potentially enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
