About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the CHYS 3P30 Fall D2 course. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. Compensation is based on the employee's qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Requirements

• Minimum 3rd Year complete in the CHYS BA or CHYS BA/BEd program, or be entering and/or continuing in the CHYS MA or CHYS PhD program.
• Must have previously completed CHYS 3P30 or equivalent, and obtained 80% or higher.
• Demonstrated successful experience grading on-line.
• Must have effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Previous successful experience as a Marker-Grader for CHYS 3P30 will be considered as equivalent.
• Provide, if available, an evaluation of successful previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Marker-Grader.

Responsibilities

• Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
• Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
• May be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course.
• May be expected to enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
