About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for Marker-Grader positions in the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group for ADST 1P90 Winter, within Disability Services & Supports. Compensation for these positions is based on the qualifications held by the employee, with different hourly rates for Master’s Degree Complete, Undergraduate Degree Complete, Third Year Complete, Second Year Complete, and First Year Complete. The Collective Agreement governs these part-time positions at Brock University.
Requirements
- Honours BA or Honours BSc in Social Sciences (e.g., Psychology, ABA, Education, Disability Studies) with a minimum major average of 75%
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Works effectively with deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
- Potentially invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course.
- Potentially enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
