About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for Marker-Grader positions in the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group for the ADST 1P00 Fall Introduction to Disability and Society course. Marker-Grader positions are paid according to the qualifications the employee holds, with rates effective September 1, 2026. The positions are subject to course enrollments and budgetary approval. Requirements

  • Honours BA or Honours BSc in Social Sciences (e.g., Psychology, ABA, Education, Disability Studies) with a minimum major average of 75%
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Works effectively with deadlines
  • Members shall not accept any appointment which, taken together with all other appointments at the University, would cause the member to exceed the maximum number of regular hours (i.e., not overtime hours) allowable in a work week under the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time.

Responsibilities

  • Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
  • Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
  • Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, at the request of the course instructor.
  • Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
