About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for ADST 1P00 Fall D2 ONLINE, Introduction to Disability Studies. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for this role is effective September 1, 2025, with a rate of $7,695.21 per half course (195 hours nominally) and $15,390.44 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Duties and responsibilities align with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement, including scheduled student contact time and non-classroom responsibilities such as lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, course administration, grade appeals, and handling academic dishonesty cases. Requirements

Completed PhD in Disability Studies, Psychology or related field considered an asset.
Demonstrated academic teaching and work experience in disabilities.
Experience in Applied Research with persons with disabilities.
Proven on-line teaching experience – synchronous and asynchronous.
Available to teach online during the day and /or evenings on weekdays and/or weekends as required.
Experience using Brightspace or other learning management systems.
Able to attend department related meetings via video conference as required.
