About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for CLAS 1P95 - Myths of the Greek and Roman Gods for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab. Duties include scheduled contact time with students, lecture preparation, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, grade appeals, and handling cases of academic dishonesty, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

  • PhD in Classics or closely related field, in hand or near completion.
  • Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
  • Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Classics.
