About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for CLAS/HIST 2P93 - History of Early Greece for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for a full course is $15,775.20, with an estimated 390 hours of work. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab. Requirements
- PhD in Classics or closely related field, in hand or near completion
- Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations)
- Demonstrated organizational and communication skills
- Prior teaching and/or research experience in the study of Classics
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
- Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
