About The Position
Brock University is seeking an Instructor for ADST 4P50 Winter D3 ONLINE, focusing on Disability and Society. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group and is effective from September 1, 2026. The compensation is $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) and $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally). Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture or equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. Requirements
- Demonstrated academic teaching and work experience in disabilities
- Experience in Applied Research with persons with disabilities
- Proven on-line teaching experience – synchronous and asynchronous
- Available to teach online during the day and /or evenings on weekdays and/or weekends as required
- Experience using Brightspace or other learning management systems
- Able to attend department related meetings via video conference as required
Nice To Haves
- Completed PhD in Disability Studies, Psychology or related field
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Non-classroom time including preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration
- Handling grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
