About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for PSYC 4P08 Data Science for Academic and Applied Research for the Winter 2027 term. This position is to fill an existing vacancy within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The course will be delivered in a Blended/Mixed Mode (ONM/BLEN). The nominal workload for a half-credit course is 195 hours, and for a full-credit course is 390 hours. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab. Duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience teaching an undergraduate course in data science for academic and applied research at the university level.
  • Availability in-person or through audio-video conferencing for office hours and appointments, seminars, TA supervision, and contact with students.
  • An advanced graduate level degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or ABD) in psychology.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with R.
  • Experience with longitudinal data management.
  • TA experience with this course.
