About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for PSYC 2P12 Lifespan Development for the Winter 2027 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The nominal workload is 195 hours per half-credit course, with compensation detailed for both half and full courses effective September 1, 2026. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab. Duties and responsibilities align with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement. The mode of delivery for this course will be Blended/Mixed Mode (ONM/BLEN). Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate courses in lifespan development in an academic setting.
  • Specific focus on development in physical, perceptual, cognitive, linguistic, social and/or emotional domains.
  • Availability through regular office hours and appointments for supervision and contact with students.
  • An advanced graduate level degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or ABD) in psychology.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses in lifespan development in an academic setting, focusing on physical, perceptual, cognitive, linguistic, social and/or emotional domains.
  • Be available through regular office hours and appointments for supervision and contact with students.
  • Fulfill duties and responsibilities in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement.
