TMBC Marine Service Technician - Full Time
About The Position
The Marine Service Technician performs service and warranty repairs on boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs in a timely and efficient manner according to manufacturer specifications. The role troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical and electrical issues; installs accessories; performs rigging; and helps customers understand technical matters and product operation. The technician also water-tests units with customers to verify completed work and maintains a clean, professional work area. Duties may include other assignments as needed. The position works under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Understand electrical systems and wiring.
- Communicate professionally with customers and associates.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, associates, and customers.
- Ability to lift heavy items, including weights up to and exceeding 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
- Provide own tools.

- Higher-level technical certifications preferred.
