About The Position

The Marine Service Technician performs service and warranty repairs on boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs in a timely and efficient manner according to manufacturer specifications. The role includes diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical problems, installing accessories, completing rigging as needed, and maintaining a clean, professional work area. The technician also advises customers on technical questions and recommendations, and water-tests units with customers to verify repairs and explain product operation. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of electrical systems and wiring.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, associates, and customers.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to work both inside and outside.
• Provide own tools.

Nice To Haves

• Higher-level technical certifications preferred.
