About The Position
This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receipt, inspection, storage, and processing of goods and orders. The position involves leading and supervising warehouse staff, managing workflow for maximum efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards. The manager will also be responsible for inventory management, equipment operation, and training new employees.
Requirements
- Experience operating and overseeing use of warehouse equipment (pallet jack, rider jack, turret truck, forklift)
- Ability to train new warehouse employees on processes, equipment, and safety
- Ability to monitor team performance and provide regular feedback
- Ability to ensure adherence to quality, health, and safety standards
Responsibilities
- Oversee receipt, inspection, and storage of all incoming goods
- Process client/customer orders accurately and on time
- Monitor warehouse space and storage capacity for new and existing products
- Maintain adequate inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment
- Verify physical stock against system inventory and resolve discrepancies
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff/labour teams to meet productivity targets
- Manage workflow to maximize efficiency and reduce overtime costs
- Report daily operational variances to management with corrective actions
- Conduct frequent visits inside freezer storage areas
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all inbound/outbound documentation
- Coordinate with external parties for smooth and timely order processing
- Collaborate with internal teams: production, logistics, accounts, sales
- Ensure compliance with applicable state warehouse regulations
