About The Position

Iru is hiring a Manager of Solutions Engineering to lead Solutions Engineers day to day on a fast-growing AI-powered security and IT platform. This is a player-coach role on a lean team: the manager provides technical coverage for deals and new customers while improving how the team discovers needs, demonstrates the platform, supports migrations, and wins evaluations. Depending on business needs, the role may lead the pre-sales team, the post-sales team, or both. The Solutions Engineers on the team report to this manager, who reports to the Global Director of Solutions Engineering. The manager works closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing. The position is hybrid and based in Iru’s Miami office, with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday.

Requirements

  • Experience managing or leading Solutions Engineers or another technical, customer-facing team, with a record of developing people.
  • Strong Solutions Engineering background in pre-sales, post-sales, or both.
  • Strong discovery, structured demonstrations, value positioning, and competitive skills.
  • Hands-on, recent knowledge of macOS and Windows management, including MDM or UEM tools such as Jamf and Intune.
  • Working knowledge of Okta or Entra ID, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security, including EDR and vulnerability management.
  • Enough hands-on technical depth to troubleshoot, review proofs of concept, and challenge an engineer’s technical approach.
  • Comfort with scripting and APIs.
  • Ability to coach effectively, learn from others, take ownership, and adapt to heavy customer calendars, context switching, quarter-end pushes, and ongoing product change.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building or scaling a Solutions Engineering team, including hiring and onboarding.
  • Experience with long, complex technical evaluations and larger deals.
  • Experience with Android Enterprise, Declarative Device Management, or Platform SSO.
  • Background in compliance automation or GRC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day team operations, including team rhythms, coverage, and workload, so opportunities receive appropriate Solutions Engineering support.
  • Coach Solutions Engineers through call reviews and direct feedback on discovery, demos, positioning, and objection handling, and support their professional development.
  • Participate in key opportunities and customer migrations, review technical strategy, and help Account Executives and Solutions Engineers advance evaluations and bring customers live.
  • Set and maintain a high technical standard for demos, proofs of concept, and technical validation across Windows, macOS, endpoint security, identity, and compliance.
  • Keep the team informed about product releases, competitors, and emerging areas such as Android, identity, and compliance, and build reusable assets.
  • Help interview and hire Solutions Engineers and onboard new hires.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Product, and Marketing; share field feedback with Product and communicate the team’s strengths and support needs to leadership.
