Using their exceptional leadership skills, the primary responsibility of the Regional Banking Manager (RBM) is to develop and execute strategies to promote a dynamic sales/service culture, revenue growth, and optimization of overall profitability of branches within their assigned geography. The RBM achieves these objectives through proactive sales, operational, and relationship management within three specific business segments: Business Banking, Preferred Banking, and Small Business Banking. This includes ensuring each Branch Manager and Relationship Manager has a consistent, clearly defined business development plan and process which incorporates disciplined sales and service practices focused on both client acquisition and relationship retention/expansion to maximize branch and regional profitability. Responsibilities include the development and reinforcement of colleague skills and behaviors, sharing strategies, team motivation, and generation of innovative ideas to enhance client and prospect development. The RBM acts as the senior calling officer within their region and leads by example through frequent client-facing activities, including business development. Development of collaborative partnerships with fellow RBMs, as well as Business Banking managers, in addition to peers and senior management in other lines of business, is essential to develop overall strategic plans for their shared market. They are the senior bank officer in the region and are responsible for creating a "CNB" presence and brand awareness in the community. They may be called upon to act on behalf of CNB in public relation activities within their region.
