About The Position

Fortune Brands Innovations is hiring a Manager, Product Integrity for its Connected Products team. The team verifies that connected products—including Flo by Moen water devices, Yale and August smart locks, and Master Lock connected padlocks—meet their requirements before reaching customers. This role leads the Product Integrity team and translates requirements from Product, Systems Architecture, and Compliance into tests with defined methods, sample sizes, and pass/fail criteria. It also owns 100% end-of-line factory testing, including test fixture design and test software, developed in-house or with suppliers depending on complexity. The manager leads product quality and integrity across test definition, systems integration, test execution, and confirmation that products meet requirements. The role requires an understanding of how electrical, mechanical, and firmware elements interact, along with the ability to work with Product, Architecture, and Reliability and lead the lab that validates products. The position is eligible for a hybrid work environment based in North Olmsted, Ohio, or San Francisco, California. Remote days are Monday and Friday. The lab is in North Olmsted. Employees based in San Francisco should expect occasional travel to North Olmsted. Travel is approximately 15%, including visits to factories in Nogales and Tecate, Mexico, and Hanoi, Vietnam, as well as travel between North Olmsted and San Francisco.

  • Ability to design a reliability test plan and interpret failures.
  • Production test experience with fixtures, test software, design for test (DFT), cycle time, and yield at a contract manufacturer.
  • Experience leading a small technical team.
  • Comfort setting direction for hands-on test engineers.
  • Ability to understand how electrical, mechanical, and firmware components interact.

  • Set direction and standards for the Product Integrity team.
  • Translate hardware requirements in product requirement documents from Product, Systems Architecture, and Compliance into testable requirements with defined methods, sample sizes, acceptance criteria, and gates.
  • Provide evidence packages for each EVT, DVT, and PVT stage gate, documenting what was tested, against which requirements, and with what results.
  • Define reliability test plans for each program and determine sample sizes, confidence levels, and acceleration factors for environmental testing.
  • Develop production test fixtures and test software that meet approved cycle times, with test limits tied to expected field performance.
  • Review returns and field data and feed findings back into product requirements and test plans.
