Cardless•San Francisco, CA
•$122,000 - $155,000•Onsite

About The Position

Cardless is hiring a Manager of Partner Growth to own relationships with its live brand partners and grow the value of their credit card programs. The role serves as the primary point of contact for partner accounts, including Coinbase and Bilt, and is accountable for relationship health, program performance, issue resolution, and identifying expansion opportunities. It reports to the Chief Business Officer of Cardless. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role. The manager represents partners internally, coordinating with product, support, operations, engineering, and compliance to resolve issues and ensure partners receive timely, accurate answers. The role is evaluated on portfolio retention, the speed and quality of issue resolution, and growth within existing accounts. The person hired will be Cardless’s first dedicated hire focused entirely on growing existing partner portfolios and will help establish the company’s approach to partner growth.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or account management, with meaningful exposure to financial services.
  • Demonstrated track record of cultivating and growing major enterprise partnerships through significant new milestones, processes, and top-line revenue.
  • Payments expertise, including working knowledge of schemes, payments risk and fraud, and other payments fundamentals.
  • Meaningful financial-services experience, including exposure to banking, cards, or payments.
  • Understanding of card-program economics, participants, contract structures, and regulatory context sufficient for commercial discussions with partner finance or operations leaders.
  • Ability to manage long-term partner relationships, maintain portfolio discipline, communicate effectively with senior executives, and coordinate cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Ability to prioritize independently across accounts and exercise sound judgment without activity-level management.
  • Willingness to work in-office in San Francisco; the posting says the role is not suitable for candidates requiring remote or hybrid arrangements.
