About The Position

Canada Soccer is seeking a Manager of Safe Sport & Integrity Programs to lead the oversight of our organization's athlete safety, anti-doping, and competition integrity functions. This is a foundational hire - you'll assist in building some of these programs from the ground up and shape the culture of safety and integrity across our soccer ecosystem. This role will report into the Director, Soccer Regulatory Affairs & Compliance who will be hired concurrently. In the interim, this role will report to the Chief of Soccer Operations and will serve as the primary liaison to external regulatory bodies including Sport Integrity Canada.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in athlete safety, sport integrity, compliance, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Sport Integrity Canada, the UCCMS, and the Canadian Safe Sport Program.
  • Working knowledge of anti-doping frameworks.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Experience developing policies, training programs, or educational content.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience working with an NSO, or within the Canadian sport system is an asset.
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Canada Soccer's primary Safe Sport contact and liaison to Sport Integrity Canada.
  • Ensure compliance with the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) and the Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for the prevention of maltreatment, including psychological, physical, and sexual misconduct, neglect, and boundary violations.
  • Manage complaint intake, documentation, case tracking, and coordination with Sport Integrity Canada's independent investigation process.
  • Deploy and monitor compliance with Safe Sport training requirements across staff, coaches, officials, and volunteers.
  • Develop educational resources and deliver training to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coordinate with Sport Integrity Canada on testing protocols, whereabouts requirements, and Exemptions.
  • Educate athletes, coaches, and support personnel on the Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP) and prohibited substances.
  • Monitor compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code and Sport Integrity Canada protocols.
  • Manage communications and case coordination related to anti-doping matters.
  • Develop and maintain policies addressing match manipulation, betting-related corruption, and competition integrity.
  • Create reporting mechanisms and education programs for athletes, officials, and staff.
  • Monitor for integrity risks and coordinate with relevant domestic or international bodies as needed.
  • Investigate or refer potential integrity violations according to established procedures.
  • Track regulatory developments and evolving standards across all three program areas, including changes to the UCCMS and CSSP Rules.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and provide regular status reports to leadership.
  • Support the development of broader organizational compliance infrastructure.
