About The Position

Support execution of marketing activation plans for the upcoming LA28 Summer Olympics and Paralympics to create a sustainable competitive advantage for the Coca-Cola system. The Marketing Manager will own Rights Management & Approvals, ensuring smooth and timely execution of all plans to maximize the return on investment generated by Coca-Cola for the LA28 Games. This position will also support delivery of several special projects, including (but not necessarily limited to) development of our Pins & Premiums programs. The successful candidate should have experience with development and execution of activation plans, a strong understanding of global events (e.g. Olympics or the FIFA World Cup) and consumer programs and expertise working with marketing assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
  • Minimum 3-4 years Marketing/Commercial experience in Coca-Cola or CPG organization; TCCC system experience preferred.
  • Experience with marketing partnerships, customer marketing, business analytics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operational aspects of TCCC, bottlers’ and customer businesses.
  • Extremely strong organizational skills, ability to coordinate inputs, requirements, and demands of numerous constituencies and stakeholders, often under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of organizations, internally and externally, and spanning multiple markets.
  • Understanding of strategic marketing (i.e. brand strategies and activation/utilization concepts) and the discipline of business planning.
  • Must possess excellent relationship building skills.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require The Coca-Cola Company's sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in our TOP Partner, LA28 and Olympic & Paralympic Torch Relay platforms and associated rights & restrictions.
  • Develop a strong relationship with rights holder approval managers to offer better service and approval lead times.
  • Design and execute a Marketing approvals process that ensures full compliance with all contractual requirements for the use of all Olympic & Paralympic marks and facilitates the usage of the property by the NAOU system.
  • Consolidate, filter and submit materials (TCCC + bottler plans) which require approvals.
  • Comply with guidelines and regulations to protect our marks.
  • Minimize, track and measure approval lead times.
  • Utilize a system (TRACK) that allows us to track and archive approvals/learning for future events.
  • Conduct system trainings on use of marks, guidelines and approval process to other functions within the System.
  • Direct contact with rights holder for issue resolution.
  • Consolidation of learning for future reference.
  • Support the development and execution of an anti-ambush plan to protect Coca‑Cola's Olympic rights.
  • Support development and execution of Pins & Premiums programs, ensuring we maximize relevance and usage throughout the system.
  • Support other areas of the team in special projects (according to both team needs and associate’s stated career interests).
  • Support Director, Marketing Activation in the development of a presence plan at Games time that both support the brand strategies and integrates with the bottler activation plans. Plan should be focused on high visibility and traffic areas (Red Zones).
