About The Position

The Marketing and Content Manager shapes how Mid-Hudson Energy Transition (MHET) presents itself to community members, funders, partners, and the public. The role owns MHET’s brand and day-to-day storytelling across social media, the website, monthly newsletter, graphic design, event promotion, program recruitment campaigns, and energy education materials. Working closely with program staff, the manager turns program outcomes and community members’ stories into clear, accessible materials that reflect the communities MHET serves. The manager also shares MHET’s experience with the wider field through an annual impact report, videos, presentations, and toolkits. This is a hands-on, high-output role for a strong designer and writer who is comfortable producing a range of materials and coordinating campaign calendars. MHET’s work includes Outreach & Education; the HELP Fund, a green community investment fund; the Home Energy Loan Program (HELP); Home Upgrade Grants (HUG); and Energy Innovation projects. These programs connect community members with energy education, financing and project support for home improvements, and community-based renewable energy and resilience initiatives. The position reports to the Executive Director. It is based in Kingston, New York, and is hybrid, with a strong preference for working on-site several days per week and flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the time. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; occasional evenings and weekends are required for events and campaign launches. The salary range is $70,000–$80,000, with benefits.
