Thumbtack•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Thumbtack is hiring a Manager, Launch and Growth Operations to lead a portfolio of strategic programs that grow and scale its partnerships business. The position reports to the Senior Manager of Partnership Operations and manages a globally distributed team across the U.S. and the Philippines. The role works across the organization to turn promising opportunities into durable business capabilities, combining strategy, program leadership, and operations. The work may include building and scaling growth programs, developing go-to-market strategies, improving business performance and economics, strengthening partner-facing capabilities, and evolving the systems and processes that support partnerships. Initial priorities include launching new partnerships, scaling Call Center, and advancing the Partner Operations foundation; the portfolio will evolve with business needs. This is a high-impact player-coach role requiring the ability to set direction, lead complex execution, bring structure to ambiguity, and deliver measurable outcomes from concept through launch and scale. The Commercial Strategy team leads strategic initiatives and experiments in partnership with other teams. Its Partner Operations sub-team builds scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure for the partnerships business, runs day-to-day operations, leads strategic initiatives and early-stage pilots, coordinates cross-functional workflows and ownership, and transitions pilots into scalable operations. Expected total cash compensation depends on location: $148,800–$192,500 in San Francisco/Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros; $134,300–$173,800 in Austin or Washington, DC metros, or California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states; and $126,700–$163,900 in other U.S. locations. Actual offers vary based on job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency.
