Manager, GPO Delivery and Optimization

Premier Inc.•New York, NY
•$90,000 - $150,000

About The Position

The Manager, GPO Delivery and Optimization owns delivery of GPO contracts for an assigned portfolio of member accounts, from activation through renewal. This is an execution-focused role responsible for building and carrying out plans, using data and Premier technology to communicate value, managing contract performance, and driving members to realize that value. The Manager is expected to work independently and solve problems proactively. The role leads account workplans and the GPO portfolio lifecycle, including tier activation and timing, renewals and expirations, distributor contract audits, roster accuracy, and administrative fee revenue accuracy. It coordinates with GPO contracting, portfolio subject matter experts, analytics teams, and other internal partners to keep execution on track. The Manager also manages account project plans, timelines, and RACI assignments; carries out contract activations, amendments, and renewals; and drives category adoption and contract performance. Using Premier technology, AI, Power BI, and analytics resources, the Manager analyzes contract and member data, develops recommendations and member-facing narratives, supports contracting scenario modeling, and contributes to annual growth forecasts and business reviews. The role executes against KPIs for contract growth, penetration, savings, and value, while ensuring regular submission of member data required for analytics and performance tracking. The Manager serves as a day-to-day trusted advisor to member stakeholders, develops an understanding of each member’s goals and needs, and coordinates GPO-related activity when no dedicated GPO team resources are assigned. The role aligns supply chain and pharmacy goals between members and Premier and independently addresses ambiguous problems that could impede execution. The position involves a hospital environment and travel of 21–40% within the United States. The work is sedentary, with prolonged stationary periods and occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force. Employees must be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, use computer programs and software, communicate effectively, make independent decisions, and collaborate in close quarters with peers and interruptions.
