About The Position
Morrison Living is hiring a Dining Services Manager I to manage a team of food service professionals and oversee service in the main dining room and at special functions. The manager also assists with maintaining interdepartmental relations and integrating the dining services department into the facility’s plan of operation. The role oversees dining operations at a small- to medium-volume location and supports food service activities, budgeting, culinary programs, client reporting, and sales growth. The position focuses on hospitality, customer service, food quality, sanitation, infection control, and sustainable food practices.
Requirements
- Two years of food service supervisory or lead experience.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
- General hospitality knowledge and an interest in sustainability and sustainable food practices.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as the internet.
Nice To Haves
- Waited-table and catering experience.
- ServSafe Certification.
- Associate’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Oversee dining services operations at a small- to medium-volume location.
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Assist with profit and loss responsibilities and account budgeting.
- Assist with food service activities, including meal service in a seated dining room, quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and facility-related activities.
- Assist with rolling out new culinary programs in coordination with the marketing and culinary teams.
- Assist with preparing quarterly reports for client presentations.
- Work with marketing and culinary departments to increase sales through innovation and food quality.
- Communicate with the culinary department to ensure food programs reflect the company’s vision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
