About The Position

Morrison Living is hiring a Dining Services Manager I to manage a team of food service professionals and oversee service in the main dining room and at special functions. The manager helps maintain interdepartmental relations and integrate the dining services department with the facility’s operating plan. This role oversees operations at a small- to medium-volume location and supports food service activities, customer service, budgeting, menu development, quality, sanitation, and culinary program initiatives.

Requirements

At least 2 years of food service supervisory or lead experience.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
General hospitality knowledge and an interest in sustainability and sustainable food practices.
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as internet use.

Nice To Haves

Waitstaff and catering experience.
ServSafe Certification.
Associate’s degree.

Responsibilities

Oversee dining services operations at a small- to medium-volume location.
Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Assist with profit and loss and budgeting for the account.
Work with the Chef and management team to create menus and provide high-quality food.
Assist with food service activities, particularly meal service in a seated dining room, including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and facility-related activities.
Assist with rolling out new culinary programs alongside the marketing and culinary teams.
Assist with preparing quarterly reports for client presentations.
Work with marketing and the culinary department to increase sales through innovation and food quality.
Communicate with the culinary department to ensure food programs reflect the company’s vision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
