Manager - Business Analytics (Production Operations Support)
About The Position
The Manager – Business Analytics is responsible for developing and managing performance metrics and operational analytics that translate raw data into valuable business insights. The position leads a team applying analytical techniques ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining. The manager understands business needs and objectives, develops strategies for effective data analysis and reporting, defines department-wide metrics and relevant data sources, and selects, configures, and implements analytic solutions. The role oversees analytics operations to correct discrepancies and ensure quality, leads and develops data analysts, and relies on extensive experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Other duties may be assigned. The position works under limited supervision and supervises assigned staff. The work environment is primarily an office, with occasional field visits; work outside the regular schedule, including nights and weekends, may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management, or a related field from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
- Five years of work experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Valid Class C Texas driver’s license.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau.
- Ability to develop and maintain contact with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Strong logical reasoning skills and business acumen.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management, or a related field from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
- Three or more years of relevant industry experience.
- Three or more years of supervisory experience.
