About The Position

The Alterations and Tailoring Shop Manager leads the department to provide outstanding customer service. The manager teaches, coaches, and develops employees; recruits and hires talent; and ensures alterations and tailoring are completed according to Nordstrom guidelines and service and quality standards. The role organizes department workload so items are completed by their promised dates, educates employees about proper fit and shop procedures, and manages office and labor expenses. The ideal candidate is motivated, results oriented, and committed to excellent customer service.

Requirements

Previous experience in alterations or tailoring.
Understanding of the safe and proper use of all equipment in the shop.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and customers.
High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs.
