About The Position

The Alterations and Tailor Shop Manager is motivated, results-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service. The manager teaches, coaches, and develops employees; recruits and hires talent; ensures alterations and tailoring meet Nordstrom guidelines and service and quality standards; organizes the department workload so items are completed by their promised dates; educates employees on fit and shop procedures; and manages office and labor expenses.

Requirements

• Previous experience in alterations or tailoring.
• Understanding of the safe and proper use of all equipment in the shop.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and customers.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
