About The Position
The Alterations and Tailoring Shop Manager leads a team focused on providing outstanding customer service and completing alterations and tailoring work to Nordstrom’s service and quality standards. The manager teaches, coaches, and develops employees; recruits and hires talent; organizes departmental workload to meet promised completion dates; and educates employees on fit and shop procedures. The role also manages office and labor expenses.
Requirements
- Previous experience in alterations or tailoring.
- Understanding of the safe and proper use of all equipment in the shop.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and customers.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs.
